The Story:
During our incumbency at the Tenement of Dukes in the Fourteenth Century, Sir Spencer Holt and I had become quite accustomed to retiring to our library in the evenings and spending an evening filled with leisure, hearty victuals and outstanding revelries.
The topic of Google Analytic's fine tracking program had come up in conversation one evening. To which Sir Spencer inquired as to be given access to view Sir Eric's progress on page views for the respective blog. Being of a general cheery disposition, Sir Eric agreed to the permissions right away, knowing that soon Sir Spencer would be retiring to his bed and would most likely forget the existence of said blog page-view numbers.
As nightfall came, the two gentlemen said their goodnights and retired to their respective chambers to attain needed slumber. Being of a jolly mood, Sir Eric stayed up a while to check the Royal Book of Face inquiring of any new updates or reports. While in this state, he wandered to the Analytics of Google.
That's when Sir Eric logged on to see...
This struck a fire in Sir Eric's heart that he took pity on the young Sir Spencer and shared his Analytic immediately. He then retired to his bedchamber.
To which Sir Spencer awoke the next morning to find Sir Eric's Analytic thusly:
As you might have guessed this depressed the young sir greatly. Creating such a schizm in his mind as to come to blows. This was not taken lightly, for a duel was of a serious manner. Not being comforted in this manner, Sir Spencer requested that they challenge each other in the form of a duel.
Since it had been taught in early education the practices of such duels, they purchased finely woven white gloves right away, slapping each other on the cheek in unison (Eric with the left hand glove, Spencer with the right).
The Challenge:
To beat each other in an all out Blog Readership Competition.
Each participant will track the other's analytic for a period of one week (7 days).
After the week is through, the person with the most page views will be crowned winner and receive one reward and select one punishment for the losing person.
So this is very important - Read my blog as much as you possibly can.
Send it to friends, send it to co-workers, send it to your mom and have her forward it to everyone on her email list (because for Heaven's sake, just this once have her send something other than LOLCats or "Pray for our Troops" forwards).
May this be a clean fight and a challenging fight. May the best blogger win.
...And begin.
In fact, stay away from his blog altogether. Don't click the link!
